Dear Pioneer Families,
Attached is the recent weather update from The National Weather Service for our part of the state. There is a high risk of severe weather, including large hail and tornadoes tomorrow (midday through evening). We will keep a close eye on this throughout the day tomorrow. Both buildings completed a tornado drill today as a precaution. Please keep your ears and eyes open tomorrow. We will keep everyone posted the best that we can throughout the day (emails, Social Media, and/or our website). Since they are talking midday to evening, we will watch closely the timing of the storm as it relates to dismissal and after-school activities.
Please keep in mind - If the storm hits around dismissal time (especially large hail or a tornado threat), it may force us to delay dismissal until the threat passes. In that case, parents/family members waiting in pick-up lines will need to come into the buildings for safety. We certainly pray that it doesn't come to that, but we need to prepare for any scenario. Everyone's safety is our first priority.
