Our 1st grade and 5th grade classes teamed up yesterday to learn about the effect of different solutions on Candy Corn. Fifth grade friends helped the 1st graders use what they’ve learned about making predictions to understand making a hypothesis.

Our 6th graders have been working hard during Specials on a Food Truck Project! Students chose jobs for the project, such as: project manager, choreographer, graphic designer, composer, and technology manager.
They were to create a 3D model of a food truck, a logo, a menu, a jingle, a sign spinning routine, and a PowerPoint presentation. The students had 10 days to complete their project. A local food truck will be coming to present to the students tomorrow (Friday) while they enjoy a taco from the truck. Check out the attached video of all the food trucks on display! 🍓🍔🍫🧀🍦🌮🍩🥤🥧 Which one would you want to order from?

PES parents: Don't miss out on this event today! Please read the attached flyer for more info on how to get a free booster seat. Line up your vehicles in the circle drive at 3:45.

Don't forget tomorrow is Late Start Wednesday!

Congratulations to 5th grader Zack Army for being selected as a winner of the Pharos Tribune Spooky Story contest!

Today PES held a convocation to finish up Red Ribbon Week. There was a real rock band and some of our teachers even filled in! Is that Slash on guitar or Mr. Quillen?

Even our therapy dog, Parka, & Mrs. Schroder had fun dressing like a "tacky tourist" today for Red Ribbon Week! Students are reminded to travel through life drug free.

Around 150 students in PreK-6th grades participated in the Fall Reading Challenge over fall break! As a fun activity for these students they got to watch Mr. Quillen SMASH some pumpkins!!!

Emails have been sent as of around 4 pm to guardians with instructions for logging into Harmony. If you didn't get it check your junk mail. Thank you for your patience!

In Mrs. Everett's 4th grade classroom, students recently completed an M & M lab. They created an hypothesis, timed observation with a hand lens, drew pics of the changes after 3 min intervals, and wrote conclusions. They were super excited about this experience.

Our Rock, Paper, Scissors tournament has come to an end! Yesterday was the championship round. Check out the attached pictures of the winners with their prizes!

Several high ability students researched author Kim Norman and put together a biographical PowerPoint.
They presented their PowerPoint Tuesday night at the school board meeting! The students did fantastic work and their presentation was well received!
